Beogram 1600 – speed issue only on 45

I have a beogram 1600 (1980s), it works fine on 33 but if you put it on 45 the platter jerks and is irregular. I’ve changed the belt but wonder if it is something electronic – maybe a capacitor or something?

Any ideas much appreciated.
