I would like to sell below record player, but I have no idea what price I should ask for. Could you please give me your advice? And please, if you want to have it, let me know, I am living in Switzerland.
B&O Bang & Olufsen Beogram 1200
Type 5214 Series 12
Wooden cabinet, white lacquered
Original dust cover (cover) made of plastic, smoke-colored. (The cover is flat, not curved, and is not attached to the device.)
Year of manufacture 1969, freshly refurbished in May 2025 for CHF 300
(Original invoice no longer available, no warranty)
The device has been in use in the family since 1970 (non-smoking household, two generations). Normal signs of wear. Numerous small scratches on the cover.
The only deviation from the original condition: I had the original audio cable with DIN 5-pin plug replaced with a new cable with two RCA plugs and a separately routed ground wire.
To operate the device on a system without a dedicated phono input, a record preamplifier is required. I used the
Cambridge Audio 651P MM/MC Phono Pre-Amplifier
for this purpose. The Pre-Amplifier would be part of the sale, if the buyer wishes so.
