BRONZE MemberHi all, my Beogram 1102 generally works like a champ but I’d like to use a thin (1mm) slip mat. Problem is the tone arm doesn’t lift high enough to allow for this. When returning on a 180g disc (without a slip mat), it barely lifts high enough to clear the surface. So my question, is there a way to adjust how high the tone arm lifts?

ModeratorHello Mark,
You can adjust the pickup height.
The process is explained in the service manual.

I believe the grease within the lift mechanism may have become viscous.
I would also recommend cleaning and regreasing if possible.Kind regards,

BRONZE MemberHi Pete,
Many thanks for that – dead easy in the end and my playing enjoyment has been transformed!
Next question, is it possible to adjust where the needle lands on the record? It sometimes “falls off the edge”.
