My BEOGRAM 1000 works very well but the motor gets hot – is this normal?

I had to put something under the turntable to protect the wooden cabinet the unit stands on because of the hot motor.

    Please advise

    Many thanks

    Hi Roger,

It does get hot but not burning hot. Are you sure it runs smoothly (lubrication) and that you have the correct speed right away? Did you have to increase pitch adjustment to its end stop? Do you have the original belt?
