Beocord 8004. Playback only short time..

The CDX 2 is now fine thanks to this forum.

Mounted new belts, new display LEDs  (very small)  and a good cleaning.
Now this fine deck is almost fine.   But still a big problem.
When play is pressed it only play for approx.  1 sec.,  then no sound in both channels, but tape is still running fine, just no sound.
Then REWIND a few seconds and then same thing again.   Tried other tapes and a recording from another tapedeck, same result.

What can be the problem   ?
Is it magnetization, and how do I demagnetization it    ?
