I have 3 Beocord 5000’s, yes an obsession. I tried every source I knew for years to find a repair shop that would tackle these troublesome beasts, with no takers until recently when I found a young man willing to work on them. The main board cracked and the poor guy had to do major soldering to correct the broken traces. He gave it back to me not knowing that he had actually repaired the Beocord. When I got the 5000 I took his word for it and didn’t bother to try it, but curiosity got the best of me and my God, IT WORKS! Sounds sensational! This is my pride and joy after the Beogram 4000.
