Hi All,
Would this scenario work? Or had anyone tried something similar.
We have a NL/ML Converter which current allows a Beosound 9000/CD/Radio/A.AUX features to work in rooms with a newer B&O Horizon and Avant. Plus rooms with Beolink Actives running local speakers thru the Actives PC Input.
Can a Beoconnect Core work in a sperate room on the same wired/Wi-Fi network, with a LG TV C1 ARC and Powerlink Speakers connected? So in that separate room connect and use CD/RADIO/A.AUX from the masterlink system, via the NL/ML Converter.
We used a Beolink Active currently to serve this process but would like to know if the Beoconnect Core can replace it. Therefor eliminating the Masterlink cabling.
I suppose if this is possible it really extends the use of the new Beoconnect Core.
Anyone.
Thanks Beoaus.
15 September 2024 at 09:35 #59097Sadly the newer Mozart-based products do not allow for a direct integration. This means that you can not choose a source (via the converter) from a masterlinked product….these sources do not show up in the menu of the e.g. BC Core.
A workaround is to start the source on the ML product (and maybe turn down the volume there), before you Join’ via the Beoremote One (or the app) on the BC Core. Or – if you have started the source via your Avant/Horizon, you can then Join in to the BC Core.
Please consider that you already have Netradio (B&O Radio) integrated in the BC Core, that you can access directly using the BROne.
And yes, you do not need a Masterlink cable there. The BC Core works wireless via your Wifi network (if proper configured). However – if possible – a cabled network connection is always better!

I do wonder how, say, a Harmony can access a CD via NL/ML converter to a Masterlink BS9000 which is in a different room? Plus some newer Beolab speakers like 28’s and even 50’s. Even the emerge. With both CD and A.AUX.
I was hoping the Beoconnect Core worked similarly.
Seems not.
Best Beoaus.
