BeoCenter 9500 tape deck issue

Hi,

I got two BeoCenter 9500, one with tape deck version1 and one with version 2.

At version 1 the head moves towards the cassette while winding, even when searching is not active.

This is not the case at version 2.

Does anybody know, if this is the normal behavior?

Hi Carsten, I have had two different mechanisms in Beocord 3500 sets and remember a similar behaviour. I think your Beocenters are behaving as to be expected.

I found a video with a Beocord 3500 showing the same.

So this seems to be intentional.
