HiortGOLD MemberI have acquired a Beocenter 9300 in very good cosmetic condition.
Seller claimed everything worked when shipped, but when I put a CD in the player, it does not play.
When I press “Load CD” and the door slides back, its clear that the spring suspended CD mechanism touches the lid when the lid slides back.
It was transported without the transport screws inserted. Can the mechanism, that seem spring suspended, been dislocated?
Not sure how to open the Beocenter to see if anything looks odd.
Any advise?

Gold member have access to the service manual, where the disassembly procedure is detailed.
First, remove the glass panels. The glue is often old and panels may fall-off when the Beocenter is on service position.
And if they break it’s a real disaster since they are very difficult to find.
Regards,
Yann.

ModeratorHello Hiort,
It is possible to close the Beocenter incorrctly after (poor) servicing. The cd mechanism sits on 4 sprung posts to dampen vibrations – it sounds like it has not been seated correctly after a previous service.
As Chris (previous reply) states, service guides are available to gold members on this site and these will help you learn how to carefully maintain your Beocenter. The unit is extremely heavy and delicate though, so if you’re not familiar with delicate electronics I would recommend sending your Beocenter to Multicare for a full service. It’s a great system and deserves some TLC 😊
Julian
Edit: I just noticed you live in Sweden – please disregard my recommendation of sending your Beocenter to Multicare in the UK 😄
