Hi beo fans,
On the table lies a resurrected Beocenter 8500. I fixed the non-working cd player (famous blue capacitor issue), a broken door (2-component glue) end the glass panels that were loose. replaced door belts and casette deck belt.
So I am almost there now. There is still an issue with the cassette deck :-(. It will not move.
I have verified that no power is going to it. All motors are ok, they spin with power from an external source. when I insert a tape, the record indicator lights up, presseing record enables the vu meter to dance but tape will not engage.
what would cause the deck to not receive power? Resistor R131 is fine.
It’s no big issue, who uses tape anyway these days. But it would be great to get it working again 😀
Best Regards,
Guido
