BRONZE MemberHi everyone,
I’m very new to this forum and new to B&O i recently received a free beocenter 7007 and there is a slight problem with the turntable, the radio and cassette player seem to work, but when I try to turn on the turntable the plate rattles and shake violently, I’m thinking gear problem in the main shaft ? Sorry I’m not a professional repairer just enjoy taking apart stuff and hope for the best. I manage to lift the cover but that is the extend of my knowledge, I can’t seem to release the metal spindel.
If any professional are in here willing to help and give pointer that would be wonderful.
Regards,
Teddy from Australia

BRONZE MemberI guess nobody has the answer, so did my own repair without any knowledge of electrical or mechanical engineering background.
So far managed to get the spindel off without breaking anything so far.
And found the culprit seems the spindel holder on the bottom the inner wall has a a weird bump and it just scrapes the gear that’s why it’s bumpy not sure why it’s there. You can see from the gear photo i put some green marker and see where it’s beenย scraped when it spin and where it scraped.
Next step is figuring the best way to fix the problem. First option is to hammer the bump in second is to just thin out the plastic gear which i don’t want to do.. ๐
The other option is to just grind the inner wall with a dremel, that’s probably the best way to go.
Cheers,
Will be updating more photos and progress.
