Good afternoon all, after spending hours sifting through this forum, and the archived ones, I still can not find an answer to my question.

I recently got a BeoCenter 2 system with BeoLab 2 and 3. It belonged to my Dad where it was sitting [unused] for several years (!!).

The master unit itself lights up with a red dot, and the keys all make the clicking sounds, but absolutely nothing else happens (doesn’t open, no menu shows up, etc). I have tried connecting and disconnecting all cables, to no avail.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

      Tim

If the unit has been disconnected it is likely that you need to put in the pin code. (unless pin protection was disabled before it was last disconnected).

Hi there, thanks for your response.

If a PIN code is needed, wouldn’t it display that…? I assume it’s a 4-digit code, that was given along when it was bought?

I asked my Dad about it and he had no clue it even had a code, or that that was even a feature.

When first plugged in is there not an indication on the inbuilt screen , 4 x * if so try inputing 4 x 0, that might work, the other route might be to contact b&o with the serial number and an explanation , they have in the past given me the original pin code
