BRONZE MemberHi all,
I acquired a Beo6 with no signs of life and was able to get it working again with a new battery and a windows 7 emulator with config tool.
Now, the touch screen only works on the bottom ~0.5cm. Is this indicative of a faulty screen, or is this another odd software bug? I know these remotes will act very strange if not programmed correctly.

More likely a touch screen default that is not “usual” but “common”.
AFAIK, no easy solution: dead is dead.BUT!
I own a Beo6 with totally unresponsive touch screen and have program it like some sort of Beo4 and it works well.
You’ve got like 18 hard commands to play with and if you can program the remote to display the commands like the beo4 screen would, in color and in full 360×240 pixels!
Heaven…Hope this helps.

I stripped them both down and checked al the connections inside, but I couldn’t fix them. I think the screen itself is faulty and beyond repair.
