9 September 2022 at 15:30 #38912Hi Eldrup and Martin,
Thank you for this lovely “ritornello”.
A bit kitsch for everyday listening but so fresh anyway.
Yann.

10 September 2022 at 03:11 #38921All these melodies brings back sweet memories from my childhood. I am born 1950, my first memories is beginning mid to end of the 50es, one of these is Sunday 12:00 noon, you wish we play, the Sunday Concert named Giro 413, giro 413 was a postal account number where you could pay money to help poor children and Red Cross and the like. We ( my family) had every Sunday 12:00 noon, family dinner as obligation, at the same time the radio was turned on to listen to Giro 413, every Sunday, the program lasted 2 hours and after that the radio was turned off again and only turned on for the news at 6 o’clock pm. every day. 1950 in DK there was only one radio canal, this changed with the years and today there are several, but Giro 413 has been going strong from 1946 until today the postal account number still exist as 01700413, but also internet pays and cell phone pay are possible. You can listen to it on DR.DK canal 5, I dont know the time of the broadcast you will have to check that yourself . Thank you Martin
10 September 2022 at 09:06 #38922I used to hate Giro 413, when I was a kid – it was music for the generation of my parents….old boring stuff.
This is something that belongs in a museum.
I find it nice that Geoff has collected the ‘real thing’.

10 September 2022 at 12:12 #38924That’s sad one can’t easily print his own records, it would have been a nice reedition!
I may make myself one with and old 45′, just to hold it or have it in display! 🙂
10 September 2022 at 12:47 #38925Why not just find and buy a real one?
Martin
10 September 2022 at 13:02 #38926- Hard to find, here…
- Pricey…
- Shipping cost if anywhere else…
- Any combination of the above.
😉
10 September 2022 at 13:09 #38927Currently no less than five for sale at Discogs:
https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/12904500?ev=rbI cannot see the shipping cost to France, but I don’t think the asking prices are too bad.
Martin
10 September 2022 at 13:32 #38928You’re right, thank you for pointing this to me.
9€ shipping for a 3€ record is a bit too much unbalanced to me.
Nevertheless, I thought this would be more rare and will keep an eye on Discogs.
Thank you Martin.
10 September 2022 at 13:48 #38929(… And I still will make a re-edition, just for the pleasure of it)
