GOLD MemberI’m trying to feed an Alexa audio output into my Beomaster 7000 (Tape 1 / Tape 2 / AV-AUX). A 3.5 mm jack-to-DIN cable wired straight to pins 2/3/5 gives no sound at all. Inserting a Nano phono preamp in between made it work — for several years.
Now, after about two minutes, the bass distorts and gets progressively worse until the sound is inaudible. Cooling down and restarting brings it back briefly, then the same thing happens.
Two questions:
1.Has anyone seen this? I suspect an ageing coupling/filter cap in the Nano rather than the Beomaster, but I’d welcome other views.
2.Is there a DIN/jack pinout that lets Alexa drive the Beomaster directly, without a preamp in the chain?
Thanks in advance.
