Hi all,
I purchased a new behringer UCA202 for my beosound 5 from amazon, and connected an old chromecast audio dongle to try it out, but it didn’t play well with horrible jitter/ stuttering on playback. I did some googling and discovered that the new behringers have a recently changed the Analogue to digital converter (ADC) inside to their own (reviews aren’t so good for this new chip). So i went about sourcing a second hand behringer on ebay, and bought one that was manufactured in 2001 with the original Burr Brown/Texas Instruments ADC inside. Yes it sounds better, and I have connected my beogram 3500 to it, but I still have the jitter. Weirdly the jitter is only for a minute or so of the first track played, then is perfect after that. It’s like it has to warm up 😀 N.Music and N.Radio don’t have this issue.
Any ideas? Anyone else come across this issue?
Many thanks. Rob.
