Huge thanks, Mark, for pulling off this amazing event! Everything ran like clockwork, and the visits? Absolutely top-notch! Even the weather played along—seriously, do you have a hotline to Mother Nature? 😉 These are memories we’ll be bragging about for a long time!

Great time and even greater group of people!  I look forward to staying in touch with my new UK and Canadian friends.

ps. I am already working on creating the RFID album trickery that we saw in the B&O listening room!

Mark, thanks for putting this together for us.

Finally made it home! It’s a long way to Struer from Australia.

First of all thank you to Mark for organising the event and shepherding us all around Struer. It must have been like herding cats some of the time.

A big thank you to Jette and all at Bang & Olufsen for the excellent factory tour – it far surpassed our expectations of what we would see on the tour.

Thank you to Fleming for his Danish language lessons. I’m sure I managed to mangle the pronunciation of nearly every word. Luckily Denmark is more proficient in English than we are in Danish.

My highlight at the factory was the listening room. Absolute bonus I managed to score the ‘Kirk’ chair for the full force of all the speakers. Was absolutely blown away with the sound and the way it just wrapped around me me. I must admit that I had ‘Tom’s Diner’ by Suzanne Vega on repeat in my head for about a week afterwards.

Finally I must apologise for not attending the final dinner on the Friday night. I came down with a shocker of the a cold and it knocked me for six. I did intend to head the the Grand on Saturday morning to say goodbye but felt like crap. Hopefully I didn’t pass it on to any Beoworlders – Suzie did come down with it about four days later so I was popular….

Great to meet everyone. We had a brilliant time.

Edit : I did try and attach some photos but obviously that didn’t work. I’ll give it another go shortly.

Glad you managed to shake it off, even if you did pass it to Suzie 🤣

It’s great to see everyone had such a good time — what a fantastic group to share the event with!
We’ve now put together a shared photo album where members can upload and enjoy each other’s photos from the visit. – just to note that the images will be visible to everyone visiting the site.

The uploader is at the following link, access it limited to the members who joined us on the visit, please use the following link

Hopefully it works as expected, give me a shout if there are any issues.

    Hi Mark,

I can’t upload my photos. I’m getting the following message: “This page is only available to selected BeoWorld members.”

    Finally: Uploaded 386 photos

    Enjoy. 🙂

For other members trying to upload their photos: I was only able to upload 12 pictures max. per upload. With that number the uploader worked flawlessly.

Thank you Mark for help and support. 🙂

Tomas, I agree with Pepps!  Great photos – I think my ‘iPhone’ shots are going to pale in comparison – things should slow down soon (at -21°C nights around here, no need to be outside currently) and I look forward to curating my photos – well, pictures, to be accurate – and get (some of) them up for all to enjoy – Thanks especially for posting the group shot – now my new memory game is to match names and faces, lol!  Thanks also for the tip on 12 photos max – as I took 774 in two days in Struer, will have to find a few which are both of interest, AND in focus! Cheers, all

    Hi all,

I wish the party of our Struer visit a good, healthy and successful new year! And of course all beoworld members. It took me some time, but eventually I could focus on beoworld again and upload the pictures taken during our visit to B&O, the Bremdal History Collection, the Bremdal shop, the B&O Museum and Struer in general. I hope that some may add additional perspectives and motifs to the collections of Thomas and Mark (thanks for uploading!). In any case documents of an unforgettable experience!

I really enjoyed the kind and open company and the conversations we had (of course tending to have a focus on Video and Audio equipment 😇). I found our group to be representing what in my opinon is most likely “the” asset of beoworld since I entered the forum many years ago: B&O fans and experts from all over the world with a vast experience and expertise willing to share it and never being shy of discussing one topic at hand enthusiastically.

So, I like to thank you all for making this trip to B&O and Struer the great event that it has been for me! There are lots of memorable moments I will keep in mind, the endeavour of hacking the Theatre in the Hotel Lobby or the nights at the Penguin amongst them …. 😅.

A huge thank you, Mark, for making all of this possible! Book me in advance for the next trip 😁, please.

    Kind regards,

    Rolf

I almost forgot: A huge thank you to all of our hosts! The people I’ve met at B&O, Bremdal sites, the B&O Museum always gave me the feeling of being welcome and have been very generous and kind hosts. Thank you!

Thomas, thank you for hinting at the maximum upload capacity. I started with 12 pictures and then went slowly up. In the end, I was able to upload a total of 20 pictures per each upload. I would guess that the size of the pictures might play a role? Your camera most likely takes a lot more pixel volume per picture than my iPhone 14?
