I had a good signal, meaning that the 3500 showed time on the display, after I tested the wiring thouroughly, but still no sound. Then I got a 1611 connection box instead of the 1614, but before I replaced that, I moved the 3500from one place in the room to another, and contact was lost. Again. It has been suggested that the little white joining boxes could be replaced with e.g. RJ45 CAT6 Pass Through, for better stability.
