Beosystem 2500: what to replace rotted foam in the speakers with?
I am restoring a Beosystem 2500 and its speakers. I am removing the rotted, old foam but I don't know what to replace it with.
Can I buy a replacement kit from B&O direct? Or do I need to buy something else (and where)?
Also looking for one of these black washers that go between the speakers bracket and the main unit... I have 4 screws but only 3 washers. Where can I get a spare? I *could* also 3D print a replacement of similar diameter and thickness but I'd rather get an original if I can. Login to view image
The BS2500 does not need the sticky black foam. It even sounds better without the foam... something more clear. The system even stays cooler, the ventilation is a little bit better.
You can remove it without replacement.
