GOLD MemberI caused this problem myself but don’t know how I did it. My Ouverture (type 2632) is working, but with no display.
The display was working until I opened it up to replace the tape belt. I have replaced the tape belt but I wish I hadn’t bothered. The tape until was really inaccessible; I’ve replaced belts on other B&O tape decks successfully which is why I thought I’d do this myself, but it was a mistake – when I put it back together, not only does the tape deck still not work (RW and FF work, but if I try to Play, the heads engage, it tries to play both sides, but then the heads disengage and that’s it), but now there is no display. I’m assuming I must also have fitted the tape belt incorrectly too.
CD and radio still work, I’m sure I reconnected all cable plugs that I had disconnected, and I cannot see anything unconnected or loose, but clearly I have done something!
I can’t make out form the service level which boards is driving the display and therefore which cable(s) I might have disconnected or damaged inadvertently. Can anyone offer any clues?
