BRONZE MemberHi
After messing around… my Beogram 8000 doesn t work at all !
What I “only” done was take apart the main PCB and the control panel, but when reasemble it and power it up I had no response and no red dot on the display.
I reassemble it but forgot to atach the black cable that came from the control panel to the metal base plate , eventually a ground cable (see picture).
Can this mistake led to the control panel not work and as so the BG not responde at all ? I tried a second main bord that I had but the result was the same.
Any help and suggestions wound be much appreciated.
Kind regards
Vasco

ModeratorNo. The black lead is merely a chassis ground.
Check that you have both connectors correctly seated, one at the panel, the other (push-in ribbon cable) at the main board.Martin

BRONZE MemberHi Dillen
Thank you for your reply [I know you a busy man on this forum].
The Beogram wake up once I replace the fuse transformer . But now I am at odds with this behavior:
If I swap a PBC1 for other that I have or only if I disconnect it and reconnect to the plate the fuse blows.
Upon a new fuse I press play and it start playing the record but the arm stop and return to the start position after a few revolvings.
What can explain such behavior
Kind regards
