30 October 2025 at 19:57 #70789Michael Jaehnel BRONZE MemberHi everybody I bought a used Beo 6. If the remote is in the charger the display is alive and I see the message “charging”. If I remove it the remote is out of battery. So I think the problem is the battery and I have ordered a new one. After I removed the connection puts I see a red cable that was installed from the pre owner soldered to the remote. Does anyone know what this could be? Second question, because it’s my first Beo 6, how can I connect it to my computer? On the second photo you can see the charger and the cable of the power supply- Any help will be appreciated. For the 2nd, connect a USB to mini USB cable to the charging base. I assume that you have already installed the configuration tool on your PC. Attached a very useful guide written by another Beoworlder, I hope it will help you. Note that it is VERY important to have the Beo6 fully charged before downloading the file created in the software to the remote. May I suggest you to read the other posts is this sub-section, you’ll learn a lot of things to know about this remote. In the archived forum there is also a Beo5/6 section with a lot of informations. Kind regards, Yann. -

That will help me a lot. I also find the right cable to connect it to my computer. Next step is to see how it works with the new battery next week. Perhaps someone else can help me with my first question concerning the red cable. Kind regards Michael 31 October 2025 at 11:23 #70818
