I really should be able to figure this out for myself but can’t!  I have  Beosystem 6500 with an MCP6500.  I cannot however figure out how to tune a new radio station – I’m only able to listen to presents.

There is a manual for the MCP6500 here on Beoworld, but for some reason it has pages missing, and they are the radio pages!  I did find the same question on the old forum – the answer was ‘use the Tune button’ but the MCP6500 doesn’t have a Tune button.  I think the person answering may have been thinking of the Beolink 7000.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

I think the process is like this on the MCP6500:

    1. press Radio
    2. press GO TO (F will appear in the display to indicate it’s waiting for a frequency)
    3. use the number buttons to key in the desired frequency
    4. when you’re on the station you want, press preset (on the lower control panel)
    5. then use the number buttons to select the desired preset
    6. then press store

    Good luck!

    Bill

Thaks Bill, yes that was it.  I also discovered that if you press GO TO, you can then hold down << or >> to manually search through stations, if you don’t know the frequency.

Hello CharlieWednesday, I found a (edit:) DUTCH hardcopy of the MCP5500 manual. When I will find a moment I will try to scan it completely. (edit:) But perhaps better if someone can make a scan of the English manual :-).

    Regards, Johan
