Good evening all,
I have just bought my rail tickets. @Millemis your advice was perfect thank you!
@Rolf2 I like the idea of your road trip – keep some of your stories for dinner!
I’m deliberating over a large cabin bag for my Easyjet flight…it’s an extra £100 but I suppose I’ll want to buy some souvenirs.
[Edit: I just bought my flights after sleeping on it. I’ve chosen to swerve the larger cabin bag and shall travel light instead. You’ll all have to excuse my jeans and t-shirt attire throughout the week. By dodging the larger bag fee my overnight stay in Copenhagen becomes ‘free’ so to speak.]
I’ve looked into travelling from the airport to the train station – there is a bus every 15 minutes which costs less than £5 (or it’s a 90 minute walk depending on the weather).
My train departs at 12:45pm and is a direct service to Struer!
The flights home are limited so I’m going to leave Struer after breakfast and travel back to Kobenhavn H on the 11:04am. Then I was thinking about booking an overnight stay in Copenhagen because there’s an evening flight back to Gatwick on Sunday. So I’ll have Saturday night and Sunday in the city to explore.
The costs add up – but it’s a one-off trip so let’s flex that credit card!
Oh and I haven’t checked the cost of parking my car at Gatwick yet….hahahaha!
Anyone else travelling from the UK?
Found any alternatives back to Blighty on Saturday?
Julian
