    Hi Geoff,

Yesterday I had the good fortune of listening to, and learning about, some very fancy Wilson Audio speakers in which the various drivers are able to be moved fore and aft and tilted such that the various frequencies they produce arrive at a listener’s ears simultaneously. Wilson believes this makes the sound perceived as more realistic.

I wondered: (1) Have you developed Beolab 50 or Beolab 90 with similar time alignment principles? (2) I wondered if yes, whether this is accomplished digitally by SLIGHTLY delaying sound production from some drivers relative to others such that the faster traveling, higher frequencies arrive at the listener’s ears simultaneously with the slower moving, lower frequencies.

Obviously, this is a gross oversimplification, which I expect you’d point out quickly. 🙂 But nonetheless, I just was curious if these are principles addressed in the Beolab 50 or Beolab 90 and if so, if it’s done digitally.

We are so grateful to you for all your work on our favorite products, Geoff. Thanks!

I am pretty sure that Geoff will not see your post – he hasn’t been on the Beoworld forum for a long while.

    Maybe I am wrong…we’ll see.

In the meantime you could visit his own homepage – I am certain that you will find your answers there.
