BRONZE MemberNovice here… I’m pretty sure I fine-tuned the motor speed of my Beocord 2000 cassette player with a mini screw driver inserted through the hole in the top of the motor. I’ve done my best aligning the speed by using songs on YouTube and matching their speeds with the same songs on cassette tapes. Is there another more “tech” way to do this? I feel like I’m using the “craft-DIY-home” method. Thank you.

BRONZE MemberThere are tape calibration tapes/cassettes available, for example on eBay, which generate a tone of known frequency; with a (sound) spectrum analyser app on a phone then you can adjust the motor to achieve the correct speed and achieve the known frequency. That provides an objective approach as opposed to your subjective (but probably quite effective) approach.
