BRONZE MemberHi, anyone consider upgrading their C7 OLED panel on the Mk1 Eclipse using the new adapter from STBbrackets? Our 2018 65″ Eclipse is suffering from burn-ins, and I consider ordering this adapter.22 May 2025 at 16:42 #65741 Severed_hand_of_skywalkerBRONZE MemberI haven’t used it but people seem to like STB brackets.I also can’t believe an OLED from 2018 already has problems. My Sony OLED from 2015 is still going strong. Did you have a lot of static images with logos on your screen a lot? Just curious.Location: Toronto, Canada

BRONZE MemberSeveral burn-ins (e.g. from Youtube etc). The only downside with getting a new C4/C5 panel is that the new panels are significantly narrower than the original C7 panel (for the 65″ I think the new panels are 12.6 mm narrower than the original one). Meaning that the edges will not align with the lower glass panel…. The picture quality should be really bad to sacrifice esthetics (Eclipse is a successful and timeless design IMO)!If STBbrackets could have provided a 3 edges “click-on-frame” to fill in the 6.3mm width on each of the 3 sides for the new panel, I think upgrading would be a no-brainer!

BRONZE MemberI thought I would see the difference in size between the TV and the lower glass panel, but in real life it’s not noticeable.3 July 2025 at 10:08 #66763Beoet
BRONZE MemberDoes that mean that you’ve installed the screen adapter, Mbee? 6.6 mm narrower on each side is a bit, and I thought it would be noticable?

BRONZE MemberI have ordered the screen adapter from STB and a new LG C6 (on sale 30% off) and will install over the next week. Would appreciate any tips from someone who has done it before.
I’m not fond of the exposed back–seems very non-B&O. I wonder if the cover of the Eclipse Mk3 could be used to cover it up, if ordered separately? Has anyone explored this idea? Since it is the back of the TV I’ll probably just live with it in the end but it would be nice to clean it up a bit…
