Beovision Avant 55 Picture Spot Issue

Hi all,

Just got a Beovision Avant 55, and the picture is not uniform across the panel. It has a large, slightly dim “spot” over the middle 2/3rds of the display, and the left and right sides of the screen are brighter from (I’m assuming) the backlight LED strips there. I don’t notice the issue when showing black content, but it’s pretty apparent when looking at a solid grey screen that the left/right edges are brighter and the middle tends to skew dimmer/browner.

Does this fall under the DVE issue everyone talks about? Or could it be something else, with the backlight or panel or otherwise? If it’s something that there’s still parts/can still be fixed, I’ll likely get a dealer/tech out as the gearbox that drives the speaker extension is also broken, but otherwise it might not be worth fixing just that. Thanks!

I think you have a bad panel, ti wouldn’t generally be an issue with the video engine
