Those of you, who has not already seen the post from Christian Klitt on the Discord Beotalk forum, might maybe want to know that Viggo Kristesen has passed away only 74 years old on the 24th of december.

Viggo’s life was devoted to B&O.
He started working at B&O in 1970.
But soon he changed to having his own shop for repairs (he was more into communicating with people). In his younger years he had helped his father in the small radio shop.

The shop later on became one of the most famous B&O stores in Denmark, run by him and his son Morten. Just a few steps away from the B&O store he has/had a dedicated second hand B&O store, which some of you might know or even have visited.

Over the years he collected old B&O stuff and since some years has/had one of the biggest private collections in an old school not far from Bremdal and Struer.

You can find links to a lot of articles in the local/regional newspapers, if you google ‘Viggo Bremdal’.
Here are a couple of the hits Viggo collecting and Viggo and B&O and Viggo when he celebrated the 40’th of the shop

I know that Steve visited and also saw the collection a couple of years ago – maybe he can provide the link/s to the video/s he made at that time.

Here is a picture of him and his son, Morten

This is really sad news, Viggo was a lovely guy and he always made me feel like an honoured guest when I visited his store or his amazing B&O collection. My thoughts go out to Morten, Lars and the rest of his family at this difficult time.

            Kind regards, Steve.

Yesterday was the funeral ceremony for Viggo.

It started in the main church in Struer with nearly 500 people attending.
Family, friends, running and biking friends, colleagues including former colleagues, current and past employers, neighbours, costumers and business contacts in the crowded church.

Thereafter almost all followed the hearse and the 5 service vans of the Bremdal company with the B&O logo and lots and lots of cars drove in a cortege to the shops in Bremdal, past the home of Viggo and his wife and further on to the museum in a former school in Resenstad not far from Struer.

After a couple of hour with lunch and coffee, speaks, anecdotes and friendly conversations at the tables – how did you get to know Viggo and so on? – there was an opportunity to visit the huge collection there.

Amazing what Viggo and his sons have collected there!
Viggo was a lovely, gentle and certainly a diligent, hardworking man.

Here is a sneak peak into the rooms of the collection – image all these former classrooms left and right filled with B&O products from the early days on and up till now…..
