    Hello everyone,

My focus is finally on trying my best to repair one of the 2 Beomaster 5500 I inherited. Both have their relays working when plugged in.

One shows nothing on the display, and the other one has its lights scrambled. I checked for any leakage and everything “seems” to be fine inside. I wonder if there’s something specific that would need to be verified first based on the knowledge base of this model, like any specific caps that always need a change before I investigate further.

I would love to finally be able to use my Pentas for the holidays. Would be a wonderful thing. Advanced thank yous for advice!

One last thing, I am NOT the person who wrote “Broken” on there. I’ll find a way to erase this!

Try using isopropyl alcohol on a soft cloth to remove the lettering. Anything more abrasive than a melamine foam sponge (a.k.a. magic eraser) will ruin the finish.
