When I am searching for an album on my BS5, I can count on the fact that the albums are sorted in alphabetical order.
The problem is when a title album begins with the article “the”, some albums are placed under the “t” letter, while other ones are placed in the letter corresponding to the first word after “the”.
This cause some discomfort.
Example:
I have ripped the following CD’s (fantasy names)
The best day
The bar hits
The beautiful songs
The bandit
so
“The best day” has been placed under the “t” letter
“The bar hits” has been placed under the “b” letter
“The beautiful songs” has been placed under the “t” letter
“The bandit” has been placed under the “b” letter.
At this point, when I am searching for one of these albums, I never know if I’ll find under the “t” or under the “b” letter.
Does anybody know how to fix this issue?
18 November 2024 at 16:11 #61017Looking at my BS5’s small library, all albums that start with the article “The” are alphabetically classified under the 1st letter of the second word. And so “The Soul Cages” appears under “S”, for example.

The problem is that BS5 does not always apply the same rule.
Sometimes BS5 classify the album under the first letter, sometimes under the first letter of the second word.
And I don’t know how to make that BS5 apply always the same rule.
