      Hi all,

I have a power issue with my BG6500. I wonder if someone can point me in the right direction:

Can the power coil be repaired?
I’ve spotted some broken wires (see photos) which are likely to be the reason no power is getting to my Beogram.

Can these wires be repaired or replaced?
Can I solder in any copper wire as replacements?
Why are the wires which have broken so small?

Or shall I just go about looking for a replacement coil?
Can I replace the coil with another?

Any help and advice gladly received.

      Julian

Was this Beogram moved to a different mains voltage area?
Replace the transformer and make sure it is set up correctly for the actual local mains voltage before connecting mains.
Having siad that – if the Beogram suffered an over-voltage situation, some of the electronics may also have been damaged.

Good question. I’ll check the serial number and see if it’s an overseas model. I have very little knowledge of the origins of this and the other parts of the Beosystem. All new stuff to find out…..

Thank you Martin – I’ll hope for the best and try to find a replacement transformer.
