Hello people,
I would like your opinion on which would sound better. I have Beolab Penta mk2 speakers which I have serviced and improved with information from this forum. I also have a Beomaster 7000 which I have also serviced and upgraded. I’m currently using the Penta speakers with the Beosound Overture (which has also been serviced and had the opamps replaced). But I wonder if I remove the Beolab 150 amps and hook up the penta to the BM7000 wouldn’t it be a better sounding system? What is your opinion on the sound quality between Beolab 150 vs Beomaster 7000?21 June 2024 at 14:51 #56664I had the same choice several years ago. I was switching between the Beomaster 6500 and the Beolab 200 (the versions with powerlink connections for Beolab Penta mk2 and mk3 are called Beolab 200).
i think there isn’t a better sounding amplifier, but they are just sounding different. I really liked the sound of the Beomaster 6500. Later i mounted the Beolabs 200 back when i switched to newer devices (now connected with Beoconnect core).
Try and decide what you prefer. They are both good amplifiers.
