I have just renovated my holiday home.
There I have a Beosound Essence MK1 connected to a BeoSound 3200.Now I can’t connect Beosounde Essence to my network.
I’m trying to connect via the B&O app.
Think the old BeoSetup app was a better app 🙂I think I’ve heard it is possible to set up BeoSound Essence via an IP address. Anyone know how this worked?
In the app I get to the step where I have to connect to the hotspot.
But when I go further, the app says that I have no internet connection, which is correct because the mobile is not connected to my network but to the Beosound Essence hotspot…26 December 2023 at 21:07 #51582If possible you could hardwire the device to your local network/to your router.
This way you will be able to see the device in the app or read the ip adress from there or by using the Beotool app (I guess that should still be available from the app store).
The ip adreess typed in to a browser ill give you access to the configuration.N.B.
Be sure to update the device, if needed before you unplug it from the network. This way you may be able to set up a connection to the wireless network.
P.S.
If in any way possible, use a wired connection – the MK1 will work better with this.MM
