Hi, I am new to the forum and was wondering if someone here would be able to help me with my issue. I have a Beocentre 2300 from 1996 with a faulty laser head. I bought a laser head from Beoparts-shop.com but unfortunately it was the wrong model. I contact them to get a replacement but they don’t stock the model for my system and don’t accept returns. I have open my unit and add a good look at the laser module. The reference I have in the metal block where the laser head is fixed says VAU1255/01 and it’s a CDPRO02. The laser component has a metal shield at the back and the chip isV5.0. I can find some VAU1255 laser heads on eBay, some with the metal shield others without, but I am not sure if all VAU1255 laser head are suitable or if they need to be specific for B&O. Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks.

– But is that a carpet? Get it away from that!
These are static sensitive devices, – (VERY!) easily damaged by static electricity.
Wear an ESD protective wrist band and work on an ESD field mat as a minimum. And of course the shop will accept a return, but if you bought something by mistake they
will most likely (and fairly) ask you to pay the return postage and that could, depending on your location, not be worth it.Martin
