Hi, hope someone can help as I have spent the last few days getting nowhere.  I have a Beoport PC connected to the line in of my PC which uses a Realtek driver. I normally listen to N.Radio on the Beoport but I thought the I would listen to a Masterlink source and was suprised to discover that it was only playing the right channel.

It isn’t the Beoport since if I switch the input to the microphone socket it works fine.

There is lots of information on the internet about this type of problem but they all seem to come down to switching off audio enhancements. Unfortunately my setup doesn’t show these.

      Any ideas?

        Hello

just for clarification, do you use the audio out minijack socket on the Beoport for this connection?

And also, do you not have speakers connected to the Beoport powerlink ports or headphone jack?

one simple test to try if you haven’t allready done that would be to connect another source to the line in socket on the PC just to check if something is different

I do have speakers, well actually an old hifi system, connected to the Powerlink port but nothing to the headphone jack. Will try another device to the line in.

I unplugged the line out from the Beoport and connected to my phone, played some music and it worked.  So I put the cable back into the Beoport and it also worked! Maybe I had disturbed the cable earlier and have now connected it properly.  Thanks for getting me to try this.

Great to hear that it is now working ?

I am wondering though why you would need this connection when the speakers are connected to the Beoport. This connections is not shown in the manual for the Beoport and the audio out port was originally blocked with a label from the factory

Since the, relatively, new PC had built in speakers I have often used them for convenience while working. I tried the line out socket sometime ago and it worked and it is more convenient than the headphone one in my setup. Paul
