I have loved my 85 inch Avant, and there was nothing wrong with image quality, but today the screen did this (see attached). I have already had one ecu replaced a couple of years ago, but this looks terminal. I am told no new panels exist, so whilst it is 8/9 years old, it looks like it is skip time for this £25k beauty. Is that all these tv’s last? If so it is a huge cost and waste.

I would ask a B&O technician to come and inspect the set to diagnose the problem properly.

Perhaps this is just the video engine that failed. This will be an expensive repair but this is better than to have to discard the television.

    Good luck,

    Jean

Well the screen is broken beyond repair. B and O are a joke. 25 grand to buy, 2500 more on repairs, and this pile of junk is going in the bin. It started failing at 7 years old.

That the TV was used only a few months a year as I am away traveling makes the total lack of reliability and quality even more of a joke.

I will dump this pile of junk outside of their head office as they have washed their hands of this financial disaster. Who has ever had a tv fail in the last 20 years ?

Avoid B and O products, they are pretty but total junk.
