Noticed now when I finally got around to get my BS6500 to work in link system (thread can be found here) and making wrap on cable management that I didn’t get the right channel from the system when listening to any source (A.TAPE/PHONO) from the BM6500. Replaced all cables which didn’t make any difference and then I replaced the BM6500 with a spare unit which then worked as it should. So, while of course this could be that the AUX port would need to be resoldered to the PCB but does look quite tight when open when quickly checking under the hood. Is there anything else which could cause this issue which might not be obvious?
30 March 2023 at 13:16 #45036False alarm and the issue was that the ML-contact on the BLC side had slided out a bit and noticed that the specific unit doesn’t hold back the ML contact proper; so after realigned and refixing it the audio works in both channels once again. Assume that the previous owner must have used a bit too much force when pulling out the ML-cable from the BLC. Does anyone know if it’s possible to order replacements of the ML-contact on the BLC PCB?
