Hi fellow members
It has been a long time since I have discussed B&O in this forum.
I just took delivery of a lovely used BeoVision 12 NG with BeoSystem 4 from my dealer. There is almost no info on this set on the web due to its short lifespan and high price.
I have two main questions:
- There are a lot of horisontal stripes on the screen even when it is turned off. I have a Panasonic GT50 in the basement (should be more or less the same panel) and this one is perfectly “dark grey” with no lines. I have tried to run the “eraser” on the BV12 but this do not help on this problem. Is this normal to have these lines? I have had a few plasmas over the last 15 years and none have had these lines.
- The black levels are not as good as the GT50. Heck they are not on par with the Kuro 9th gen I had before the Panasonic GT50. The black bars at the top and buttom are more dark grey than black when watching movies. I am a bit confused here.
I have attached some images. I really hope that someone who has the BV12 or has seen it in action will be able to tell if this is “normal” for this set.
