Deal all, I’m a new member of beoworld and want to thanks for the forums, it already helped me a lot.
I have a Beogram 4002 (5501) never repaired, in good conditions. I live in Brazil and unfortunately no specialists in this equipment, I just have an electronic technician that repair my equipment but, in this case, need some additional support.
Suddenly my turntable presented a strange behavior, when press “start” button it starts to work but stops. If I keep pressing the “start” button it run 33rpm and cartridge move slow (similar when press “<” Key) and if the “start” button is relief the cartridge move slow to other direction (similar when press “>” Key) and in the end it turns off. However, if I keep pressing the “33” button and then press “start” everything works perfectly, including all manual commands; if I relief the “33” button the tonearm goes slow to end position (same behavior mentioned above).
I know the best way would be a fully review in the equipment, but as I told I just have a good electronic technician to repair, but not a beogram specialist.
I really appreciate any comment to help me and my technician to repair my turntable. Thanks in Advance22 September 2022 at 21:32 #39146If it has never been repaired it is overdue to have its electrolytic capacitors replaced. Once this is done and the voltages confirmed your problems would likely be solved. This can be done by a competent technician even without B&O experience.

I have good news, the technician looked and the problem was the “off” button switch that was locked, as someone keep it pressed. He cleaned all contacts and adjust the switch contact and it returns to life!!! Anyway it can help someone else with similar issues. Thanks everybody
