      Update:

I exchanged the belt with a one bought to Dillen a few years ago but never used.

Unfortunately with no complete result : fluctuations while reading are gone but the other defects stay unchanged (see below).

      Any clue?

      Kind regards,

      Yann.

      Hello Beoworlders,

The tape unit of my Beocenter 9000 has problems.

Reading works on both sides, but with fluctuations.

The video below shows what happens, using a tork-meter tape (side 2 first, then side 1).

      https://youtu.be/ezc9pvpGs6s

When recording, the “blank” spool turns but the “recorded” one doesn’t in a first step, then turns fast and the recording stops (see video below).

      https://youtu.be/mEti1JS1B10

Fast forward and rewind does not work at all, nothing moves.

Could it be the belt (it’s a unit with an unique long belt and 2 screws near the head) or if not what’s your diagnostic?

I bought a spare belt a few year ago but did not find how to change it, as I did not find how to take the tape unit apart.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

      Kind regards,

      Yann.

Belts and tyres. You have to do them all.

The place you want to buy from is called Beoparts.

          Thanks Chartz,
What do you mean by tyres?

          Kind regards,

          Yann.

I just had a look and these parts are for Beocord 9000 and I have a Beocenter 9000

Are you site they are adapted to my set?

              Kind regards,

              Yann

Ah ok, here BC often means Beocord. My bad, I should have watched the videos. So no.

And did the videos give you other clues?

Following B&Os system BC are Beocords.
                      BCT are Beocenters.

(For reasons unknown to me apparently no longer Dillen).

                        Hello Martin,

Thanks for the info, my mistake is corrected.

Do you have any clue for the remaining problems?

Does the reading of the tork-meter tape video shows something useful?

                        Kind regards,

                        Yann.
