Hello, my first post to the forum. I hope my ramblings below make some kind of sense.

    Here are the problems:

I have a system from 2010. Beovision 7-40 tv in the lounge with additional Beolab 6000 speakers. Various speakers in other rooms connected via Beolink and all connecting back to Beoport software on my laptop in my home office via a BeoLink PC2 box. If I’m away for more than a few days I usually turn the system off completely rather than leaving it on standby.

Following a recent trip I turned the system back on and found that the TV did not work (red standby light not illuminating) and on my PC the Beoport menu came up but without the ‘PC’ option. In my home office are a pair of Beolab 3 speakers with cabling into a BeoLink PC2 box then a speaker jack and USB cables run from the PC2 box into my laptop. The Beolab 3 speakers normally go from red ‘standby’ to green ‘on’ automatically when I start my PC. Not so now, they just sit mute with their red ‘standby’ lights on. All other speakers around the house also have their red ‘standby’ lights showing.

I tried to re-install the Beoport software on my laptop but during set up, when the instructions require the USB cable from the BeoLink PC2 to be inserted into the laptop, nothing happens when the cable is inserted and the set-up program does not advance. Feels like the BeoLink PC2 box (or the USB cable) may be dead.

Are the two issues (TV and BeoLink PC2) related and could it be a simple blown fuse in one/both of them? I can confirm that the power cables into both are working fine.

Grateful for any thoughts on this.

    Thank you,

    Paul
