So, here is the situation, so far:
I loosened the Masterlink from the 1614 and tried it in the 3500 socket. No sound.
I have acquired a teleplug to DIN from Steve, and have tried this with my phone and with my ipad. The phone plays on its own speaker, while the Ipad goes silent. Nothin comes out of the 3500.
Also, I checked the aftermarket Masterlink that was installed to join the 3500 to the system, using a Fluke 115 multimeter.2 and 3 do not beep against anything at the other end of the cable. 1 beeps against green and green-white
11 beeps against blue
12 does not beep against any of the leads in the other end of the cable
13 beeps against orange-white
14 beeps against orange
15 beeps against red-white
16 beeps against red
The Beomaster still needs to be connected to the the first Penta for any sound to emerge from them. The Beomaster and the 3500 respond to OPTION, by showing the number. The Beovision does not.
