  • Beogram 4002 - armlowering problem

greetings all, just purchased a Beogram 4002 but sadly it has problems lowering and raising the arm ?? yes, I lubricated all the usual suspect items around the solanoid/damper but nothing seems to help. which electrical components are also suspect to may have failed over the years ? could some experts shed a bit more light into this problem - I just don't know where else to start thank you kindly for your expert advice alf

  • Re: Beogram 1202 - no signal, no sound ?

hi martin, first thing: the cantilever seems to be in a fairly low angle, so the stylus tip does just look out of that transparent plastic bit ? it is an SP-10 - on my SP-14 the cantilever angler is a lot bigger and when the arm is lowered the stylus sits correctly in the groove. to sum up: I suspect the suspension of that SP-10 system is damaged.

so soren, the DIN 5-pin plug seems different - I did use a DIN-RCA adaptor and surprise....the signal was there :-) had to use an additional piece of wire to eliminate the hum though ! next project in line is to figure out the tracking force and antiskating adjustment as that little turning knob on the arm's right side came undone as it is spring-loaded I am stepping totally in the dark after pushing it back in what I am actually adjusting in terms of force ?? cheers, klaus

hi everyone, just purchased a 1202 in good cosmetic condition but I can't seem to hear anything. as far as I could see everything seems to work mechanically fine - all arm wires are attached no cable broken - tried with two different cartridges ....but no sound to be heard ! any suggestions or ideas are most welcome cheers, alf
