Using Apples new aux to usb c 1.2 m cable for the Beosound Theatre
4 replies
Hello. I have been using the beosound theatre for a while now and really admire it. I was considering connecting my turntable to it and needed a cable. I know that B&O makes an official aux to usb c cable for this purpose, but unfortunately the B&O shop in my region has indefinitely closed. So I was wondering if the new bi-directional apple aux to usb c cable would work. Apple made it for the 2024 AirPods Max. where the input was to be the aux and the output to the usb c. its a similar condition as how the beosound theatre would work. Can anyone confirm that this cable would serve the purpose. Thanks
It should work.
…and if it doesn’t (which I doubt), Apple has a free return policy on its store !
Took the plunge, bought the cable and tried it. But didn't work. I was very hopeful, but I guess I need a proper analogue cable for this.

Strange. Did you try to add a powered hub ? Maybe the cable needed more power... The original Apple USB-C to jack for the AirPods Max is what we can call a "proper analogue cable" as the DAC is inside the cable...
