Recommend me a 5.1 used setup

Hello,   I have been thinking about getting into B&O, I like the designs and they are supposed to sound ok (I have never heard them before).   I am setting up a living room area with 5.2.4 surround sound. I already have the subs and in ceiling speakers. For the reciever I was thinking something like Onky rz series, but that's not too important for this conversation I think.   I was hoping I could get suggestions for a 5 speaker bed layer. I was thinking 2000's or newer equipment, what would work for good for this application? I would say 80% movies and 20% music. I was thinking something like 8000's for fronts, 6000's for rear, but I am not sure about a center channel in that case. I am also thinking maybe the 6000's are too big for rear's for wife approval factor. Looking for suggestions. Whats good bang for buck used? What do people do for the center channel? Does everything integrate into a normal receiver for atmos? The room in under construction so I cant get pictures right now. Thanks

I have a media room / bar / lounge set up with BL8000's in front, BL7-2 as a center, BL6000's in the rear, with a BL2 sub. It's all powered by an older Beosystem 3 and connected to a BS9000. As I'm all in the B&O ecosystem, I can't comment on using a third party receiver. I really enjoy the sound - full with deep bass thanks to the sub, and clear vocals with 7-2 center. Just wish the BS3 could handle 4k... The BL6000's sort of disappear in the room, as the footprint is small and the aluminum helps it blend in from the side. If I change the fabric covers to something lighter, it would make a huge difference, but I prefer the traditional black fronts. My BL2 is hidden at the end of the sofa.

An alternative would be Beolab 4000s which can be wall mounted. When I visited Struer (many years ago!) all the rooms had Beolab 4000s in them as they have good performance and a low foot print. I have two sets myself and combined with the speaker set up you mention, would be a good mix. I personally prefer Pentas to 8000s but there are pluses to both. The 8000s are much better looking and have a smaller foot print and are the next generation. However speakers are a very personal choice and I would want to listen to some before buying. B&O does have a distinctive sound - they had a big change when they started using lenses on their speakers - I have Beolab 5s which are fantastic and the latest speakers are even better though very expensive. Geoff Martin has been responsible for developing many of the speaker and is a very impressive engineer. The speakers are all active so take a variable line level input - you will need advice with regard to the receiver which I am afraid I am not qualified to give!

I Changed fron BL8000's to Penta's in the front with BL 2 sub and BL6000 in the rear. I prefer the Penta's more than the BL8000's. For looks the 8000's are better of course.
