Beosound 5 - edit radio stations (BBC)
Hi,
I'm trying to edit the Beosound 5 radio channels. Firstly, I got the radio.db file from the Beomaster 5 by firstly going into the service menu, then getting the file located in E:/cache/data.
I have a list of direct links to radio stations used by the BBC here (in HLS):
This link worked on my computer (I altered to bitrate to 128,000 as I heard that the beomaster 5 couldn't handle higher streams somewhere...
I then saved the file, put the new one back into the location of the old one and rebooted the beomaster 5.
Unfortunately, it didn't work :(
I've tried with HLS and DASH streams - and downloading firefox 13 onto the Beomaster 5, I tried opening the stream - this didn't work because it wasn't happy with the https, so I changed the link to http - and it got the playlist, but couldn't play it . I tried the link in the installed Windows Media Player and it said it couldn't handle a m3u8 file.
I guess the issue is with the codec support in the OS and not being able to recognise a m3u8 playlist file
Hello, I have readen your thread, 'cause I am having the problem of some n.radio, present in the menu, but when I select, the logo blinks for hours, and no streaming.
Hope you got to fix the problem; aniway is a shame that B&O does not support anymore this product; a B&O device should be forever.
Evidently B&O is no more the same we are used to know.
B&O fan since adolescence. I have a multi room audio-video system with Master Link connection. In 2016 integrated the system with Beosound 5. I'm satisfied 'cause I use it for hours everyday, but sometimes any device need reparation.
