In case anyone is interested in having a Beolink 5000 repaired, I've just had my repaired perfectly, and at a very low relative cost. I've owned three faulty BL5000s over the last few years but I've never been able to find anyone in the UK who could repair them. Thankfully, Beoworlder

Old enough to have gazed at classic B&O HiFi in Plumbs shop windows in the 80s...

Great news - have fun controlling your BC9500.  Now you can do exciting things like 7-day timer programming, I think! I will be storing skolesen's details for when my BL5000 inevitably needs repair.

Thanks Stephen for your kind words and it has been a pleasure to bring your BL5K back to live from the drawer. Hope it will give your a lot pleasure in the time to come. I always had a Beovirus crush for this amazing remote control and when the solution to replace the display ribbon was realised by my good friend in Struer, I've been working on renovating these forgotten marveless 2-ways remotes ever since. It's perfect for daily use to complement the MCP/BL7K on the 90's B&O products with 2-ways communication. @Guy: Just PM me when time comes for your BL5K 👍 /steffen
