Is there a MAC-version of the configuration software for Beo5?

No. As it is not supposed to be in owners' hands, it is also tricky to ask B&O to think about this! 😁

You can of course use Boot camp and Windows.

It would be very nice. I'm struggling to run bootcamp/ parallels etc as my HDD is full!

I tried everything to get it to run stable in virtual Box (have not tried parallels) - but you will only to be able to run it 100% stable in Bootcamp-mode.

To just install it in Bootcamp will save you several hours of pure horror!

Please make sure to get a 32-bit operating system (e.g. Windows 7 - 32 bit) - The driver for the Beo5/6 will not work with 64Bit operating systemss

It works fine in both Parallels and VMware. In Virtualbox the USB-driver will not work.

I also use VMware Fusion and can confirm that it works very well.
