  • No connection to update server. (Panic! End of support?)

    Hi, Here in Russia we with other BS5 owners cannot connect to updates server. When you try to update software manually, it says "connection with the server failed". Please check from your side. Is it country specific, or B&O completely shut the server down. In such a case we are really loosing the option to switch from 500GB to 1TB (update of the SW was one of the steps after recovery)

    In my case it was like you have described from the beginning, but radio and updates worked OK. Until recently.

    I am almost ready to report the results, but have one question. is it possible to get on BeoLink (2) screen the window, that will only indicate the value, received from KNX? For example, if I would connect to Temperature/Humidity sensor, it might be good to see the temperature and humidity values on the screen. Is there any ready tools for that?

  • BeoPort (BeoLink PC) registration obsolete?

    Hi, I have installed the BeoPort in my system with the latest BeoPort software. Several years ago when I have played with the similar unit, the product asked for the registration e-mail and after that I could get the access to the N.Radio resources. This time it does not ask anytjing, and N.Radio says "Not registered". There are some differences in the installations.     I recall now that I had the similar case after relocation of the unit, when BS5 went into the black screen after the initial boot invitation. After minute or so the red LED started to send SOS signals. That happened again and again after reboot. I was thinking of worst, but the reason was only loose connection in one of the cables. The explanation is that BS5 do not see all of the connected accessories, cannot load the driver and stops booting. So, it will not be useless anyway to take a look on

    With my limited understanding of PC functioning, I would say that if you see the invitation for recovery - it is already the part of Windows booting process. Since you get there - most probably BIOS and POST functions of the motherboard work fine. At least CPU, Memory, HDD and the VideoCard as well as USB since you are able to use keyboard. My bet is that it is corruption of the main Windows or BM-recovery partition of the HDD.

    Добрый день, Не очень понятна проблема, особенно про Panasonic, но из того, что я понял - возможно неправильно выставлен параметр V.OPTION. У меня была похожая проблема с музыкальным центром, причем изменить A.OPTION можно было только с присоединенным по PowerLink динамиком: Изначально центр использовался с динамиками в опции 1, Когда я установил центр в другую конфигурацию с управлением через ТВ (где нужно было использовать опцию 0, а динамики подключались к ТВ), поменять A.OPTION не получалось

    I would assume that BS stores the MOTS information in one of its drives (not DATA) that becomes full after connecting to NAS. That may be checked relatively easy, but you need to review the capacity of the disks before and after you have switched to NAS (you may need to connect the HDD to another computer for that). If this is the case - the answer could be to resize the needed partition, not replace the HDD. That is just an idea - I did not tried it by myself.
